I bought Seagate Backup plus Portable HDD 1 TB on 24 January 2018. It was working well on Sunday 26 May 2018 when I tried today it is not detecting in my Macbook Pro. Hello Rakesh kumar,
There is no such thing called as permission to open the harddisk. If your harddisk is not functioning then please connect it to another computer and check. If still it is not working in another PC system also then call the nearest Seagate Service Centre for a service.

Seagate is all crap, bought a HDD 1TB(Slim).. Wasnot working as soon as i opened the fully sealed case, something dreadfully wrong with their testing of the final products…Requires frequent BIOS updates. Runs at lower RPM(what i have heard). Copying speed for my friend’s 1TB go flex HDD USB 3.0 is about 5-45MBps which cant be considered as a USB 3.0. My friend suggested WD passport also my other friend’s seagate was also not giving USB3.0 speed and refused to work on mylaptop’s USB 3.0 slots. Should have seen the signs, should have seen it coming. My fault don’t repeat the same.

I bought 1TB hard disk from UK, till 6 months worked fine. Two days back, when I inserted Hard disk into system it was detected. My system got hanged and then I switched off my system. After that moment external hard drive stop responding. Whenever I connected my drive, it giving mild sound inside and outside light is blinking. I don’t know how to recover the data, still it is under warranty. Please give me valuable suggestions to recover data from the Hard drive.

I have visited to your service center, but there some one said (owner of service center) that your warranty has been out dated so you have to take approval from company then he will take my hard drive and give me support.

I need your help, my Seagate external hard drive 1.5TB, has suddenly stopped working, its not showing up at all. Its bought out in Australia. I used it almost for an year without any hassles. when I connect to laptop and touch it, I feel that drive is working.

I Mr. Imran S. Pathan do hereby bring some facts to yours notice for immediate action as under:
I say that ACCEL FRONTLINE service center (Tardeo, Mumbai)which caters to Seagate, Samsung, Hard disks and others offers the WORST SERVICE I have ever encountered by any service center. The waiting period there even to deposit a defective hard drive is normally 1 hour and sometimes it can stretch to days as in my case, i had been there on 6th December 2012 to submit a
defective hard drive but as I had no customer id, I had to return after waiting for approx 2 hours as their server was down, i was asked to register a customer id and then come again next day. I say that the place is too small for hundreds of people coming in daily as the service center caters to many different companies. There is no proper ventilation and the atmosphere is very inhuman as one cannot even breathe properly as people their are always sweating and it creates a foul smell due to improper ventilation and presence of more persons then the center can easily accomodate.
After registering a customer id i sent another person on 11 December 2012, who called me up from there at around 3 p.m. saying that still his token number is far . he was present there since 12 p.m. Even he complained about the INHUMAN ATMOSPHERE there and i had no other option but to ask him to return back.
I say that such type of service is very unprofessional in nature and that you cannot expect people to spoil their whole duty hours just for the services which are assured by the company. I call upon samsung (over taken by seagate now) and accel to give me a proper reply and solve my issue at the earliest.
